Ella

This gorgeous girl, Ella, was found by a fellow rescuer while doing an outreach day. We saw Ella’s post on Facebook, and we knew we had to help; leaving her in the township was simply not an option.

When Ella arrived at the Adoption Centre, our hearts just dropped. She was so skinny, buckled over from sore joints, her body so tired and undernourished, her skin raw with scabs.

Ella Before

She met her two new cabin roommates and settled in immediately. She was a broken little soul when she arrived but with loads of love and medical care, and a great Hill’s diet Ella just blossomed. We can’t even believe she is the same dog.

During the first month, she took a bad turn and was admitted to Hillcrest Veterinary Hospital and diagnosed with Ehrlichia. Her platelets were super low, her red cell count was dropping and she was hardly eating.

Ella was such a fragile little girl, her immune system was already compromised and things just didn’t look good for her. But Ella was a determined and strong little girl, and a week later she came home and has been bouncing around ever since.

Ella After

She has a sparkle in her eyes, her fur is looking amazing, and she is running around like a normal healthy pup. All she needs now, is a loving family to come along and adopt her.
